Be the change you want to see. This is an old proverb that came from a quote someone took from Mahatma Ghandi, "We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.”
What do YOU look like if THE WORLD is the reflection of what you see? Are you constantly focusing on what is wrong or what you think is wrong? And where are you getting this information? Experiences? First hand accounts from real people? Or are you looking to other people for this information - i.e. legacy media, government talking heads, celebrities?
One thing I truly believe in is for people to continue to connect with each other by talking face to face. Some of the best conversations I’ve had are with people who have very different views, backgrounds, and perspectives than I do. I’ve seemed to find some kind of common ground with most people.
